Wow, metal detecting! Have you ever found anything interesting? I occasionally go out around here to areas of local history and I've never found anything of worth. Maybe one day.

Not anything worth much. I’ve found a few mercury dimes and other coins. The fun thing is never knowing what’s going to come out of the ground.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We got our first chickens on may 22. We bought 4 of them as pullets but 3 turned out to be cockerels.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 6

(3) What breeds do you have? EE’S, one bantam and a mystery bird.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The joy they bring to my kids.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I enjoy metal detecting.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have been married to my wife for almost 10 years, we have 3 girls 8, 4 and 2. We have an inside cat named Molly she is a grey calico. Most importantly I am a born again believer of the Lord Jesus Christ.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I discovered BYC doing research about my chickens.
