Hi! My name is Riley, I’m 19 and I had the idea of being a chicken momma sprung on me very quickly! Well, time flew and now it’s lockdown day 2!
I’m excited to learn as I go (after hours of stress-researching..) and I’m excited to join a community I’ve seen nothing but kindness and support from!
I’m anxiously awaiting my newest babies, seven Old English bantams! I’ve never hatched eggs let alone cared for chickens so it will definitely be a learning curve but I’m already dedicated.
Also, I’ve read online that the Old English can be kinda… abrasive? Or maybe flighty? They’ll be in a run and I could not in a million years convince my dad to start with something easier or more docile, so they will have to get used to us lol.
Sorry for rambling, I’m nervous and I don’t have anyone to talk to about chickens! I know you guys will understand me
