Well it's really just an Idea at the moment but I have seen people use 55 gallon barrels to raise catfish, so I was going to cut this 1000 gallon tank I have and turn it into a pond. People with the barrel said to put up to 40 in 55 gallons so I figured I could easily get 200 in mine. Ideas?

Are you looking at just aquaculture or aquaponics? Double check your numbers as in an aquaponics system generally the ratio is 3 gallons of water to 1 pound of fish, catfish are ideally harvested at 3-5 pounds. I'm not sure what the ratio is for pure aquaculture but don't imagine it would be a lot different.

So the sights I was reading on said harvest at 1 1/2 lbs but even at 3lbs that's 9 gallon per fish I could still fit in over 50 and to me that come in at around 150lbs of fish
And yes just aquaculture
