I'm chickenpatti13 and I live in s w Ohio with my husband,dog,4 exotic birds,10 geese and 30 chickens.I plan on getting a couple of milking goats this year.I like to fish,hunt(haven't done much this year,though),and putt around the big lakes in our canoe.I've been chicken keeping for 17 yrs now and currently have Cochins,Brahmas,EE's,Cochin/EE mixes,a red hen I found at a local park-I believe she was a child's Easter chick,she was very tame and 3 yrs later she still insists on coming in the house to visit and get treats-and a buff rock or Orpington that defected to my flock from next door 2 yrs ago.I have 5 American Buff geese and 5 Roman Tufted geese I got this past spring.They are awesome and it is fun to swim with them in the pond.They always come to greet us and hang out,unlike the chickens who come to see if I have food and if I don't,they are not interested in me.I'm pretty much birded out unless I can find a couple of day old ostriches,but I've been looking for years w/o luck.All the farms my way have been closed for years. I want a bird I can ride like they do in Australia.That would be awesome.
