Been following this site for about a year now :-D great site and all the advice you have given to others has really helped me as I am new to keeping chickens and ducks- I have joined now as having trouble with all 3 of my girls going broody on me :-( glad to finally be apart of BYC

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Many of us were lurkers before signing up, I was one for 2 years. I see you have posted in the behaviour sevtion for help with your broody problem. I'm sure you will get lots of advice on it. Here is an article on breaking broody hens ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/how-to-break-a-broody-hen

Wishing you the very best of luck with your girls and ducks in the future. Be sure to ask any questions that you may have, everyone here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy BYC :frow

Loool yes im a certified lurker ;-) everytime I google a question this always pops up and it seems a great site :-) yeah 3 brooders one of them being an Aylsbury duck- Ive shut her out and my sussex- painful to watch the poor girls but I want my happy friendly girls back not the stroppy hormonal ones- fingers crossed this works but I can refer back to this link and try another method thanks very much :-) appreciate it

You have an aylesbury? I just made a thread about aylesbury and other breeds in the Duck section- what a coincidence!

I lurked here for a long time before finally signing up too- I think almost everyone does haha.

Yes I have a Aylesbury, a mallard x drake, a sussex hen and not to sure on my other hen...been trying to find her breed for a while and Im not sure- they all rescue from a farm as they were being attacked by a new guard dog I love them :-)
