yeah, I wasn't aware of the dead sprawl thing either. The first time I let the babies into the coop, once they settled in and got comfortable in the sunnier locations, I went to check on them, they were on their sides with one wing spread out, not moving....just enjoying the sun. I have one chick which refuses to hunker down when in the sun. Stands without moving, and just like a two year old kiddo, her head will slowly lower, nod....eyes close, start to drift over, total amusement.
