Hello, I've come to this site a lot over the past year and you all have always been very helpful.
Currently, I have 2 buff orpingtons (1 roo, 1 hen) and a Golden Sex-linked hen. I had 4 beautiful Barred Rocks and a derpy Leghorn, but we had A LOT of trouble with predators over the past year. Now theres a nice, big, fenced-in yard, so hopefully that will be the solution to that. Theres also 1 chick that the orp hen managed to hatch this spring. I'm not positive who the momma was, but we're *pretty* sure it's another orp hen. But we'll see! We also bought 3 Rhode Island Red pullets and a Black Sex-linked pullet this year and they're currently growing up into a bunch of trouble-makers. We built a nice big coop with a closed-in run last summer, so theres plenty of room for everyone.
This past year has been the beginning of my chicken owning/rearing and, except for the predator troubles, it seems to have gone alright so far.
