Hope I'm doing this right- with all these new birds, I've not taken the time to really figure out how to do BYC posts!
Have had dogs and cats all my life, but no livestock ever- just had my first real vegetable garden last summer, and I'm 54 years old!
I got 5 Welsh Harlequin ducks from Metzer Farms; they're about 2 1/2 months old and just tons of fun. VERY friendly, and sweet.
Then I just was given 2 geese 3 days ago - one Chinese and one Pilgrim, both 2 years old. They grew up together, and the owner decided to simplify and get rid of her geese and goats.
Never thought I'd have geese, and although I've been reading up on ducks for months (and chickens, which I plan to get in the Spring) I'm not finding a lot about geese in print- except for here on BYC!
