Hi all! I am new to the forum and new to chickens.

Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Janice from LI New York.
My husband and I have recently purchased chicks. We have 12 6 week old chicks and have had them since they were three days old. We got them from a local farm and they were straight run. Once all is said and done, we will keep six and my sister will take the other six. We didn't know a whole lot about chickens but we learned real quick.

I'm sure i will have lots of questions to follow.

Jus' watch out for silkies pretending to be chickens. Don't let em getcha! If you see one get the garlic, a silver bullet and a wooden stake. If you don't have these run in the other direction. Do not look them in the eyes.
