Hi all! I recently moved to Virginia from Alaska......and I am a chicken newbie!

I promised my husband I would stop complaining about the move from my beloved Alaska if He built a chicken coop for me. So after months of building, research and preparation I will be getting 6 girls this week! I am so excited and very nervous!

I stumbled on this site doing some research and I have to say that it's one of the best out there in internet land!!!!
So thank you!

As a side note, I really will never stop complaining about the move from Alaska.

lol That's an awfully big change, I'd complain too! I've never been to Alaska but a family friend has family there and taken trips. Now I really want to go, I love my flat Kansas but Alaska is too beautiful to put into words. I'm glad you have joined us! Welcome to the site
