I've been told I should provide a dirt bath for my chooks , any truth in this ?

Oh they do love their dust baths!! That is a great article that Yorkshire Coop has left for you. And yes, if you have tender greens around, they are a magnet for chickens. Keeping them out of the garden is a full time job!

Yes, chickens LOVE dust bathing! The only thing that could probably draw my chickens from their dust bathing would be a handful of treats!

If your chickens don't have access to natural dirt than you can provide them with some sand or you could check this out:
