ty question? will chickens try to eat course vermiculite

Chickens will try to eat anything that doesn't eat them first. They love Styrofoam. I can see they would go after vermiculite it probably looks like chicken feed to them. Is this horticultural vermiculite or the kind for pools,or insulation? The last two I would think could cause harm. I don't think the kind for plants has asbestos in it.

They will also eat anything shiny rings,earrings, bracelets, screws, nails, staples - you have to keep an eye out for things they will notice and grab.
