Hello everyone! I am a 28 year old chicken and a duck lover as I am sure most of you are as well. My husband and I got our first chickens about 2 and a half years ago. We started out with 3 and our max has been up to 25 and now we are at 11. We have 1 roo, 8 laying hens, and 2 juvenile hens. I also have 10 Cornish but don't like to count them since they are meat chickens.
We started our journey with ducks about 9 months ago. We bough 1 drake Muscovy and 4 ducks. We originally bought them to raise as meat to put in the freezer but now we will sale them female ducklings and only put the drakes in the freezer. We never realized we would get so many duckmings out of them so we figured "Why not make a little money while we're at it?!". We also have 3 Peking ducks 2 drakes 1 duck (I think). They are my favorite to watch for sure. They always have my husband and I laughing.
Anyway, I guess that's about it. We also have rabbits but I know this isn't a group about rabbits so I won't go into it. I'm excited to learn new things about raising my flock.

Good to know! :bun I have a free roam Femish Giant house rabbit, Biggie. He's really drawn to my one year old son. I have no clue why because he's always pulling out fists full of fur, poor Biggie. He can be nice at times too though. It the sweetest thing to watch. Anyway, we also have meat rabbits. If y'all haven't caught on, we raise our own meat. I haven't had to buy meat from the store in months (so nice!). It's very satisfying knowing the life your food lived and how good it was taken care of. Knowing everything it ate and healthy and humanely they were raised. We love all of our animals and are very grateful and thankful Of them, especially for our meat animals.
