Not a new chicken mom, but like to glean as much info as I can and read other questions on the off chance I run into those same issues. I have a special need Americauna, Tina. 2 other Americauna, named Stormy and Pheasant. Have 2 Creavecour, Harriet and Henrietta. And one Buff Orpington, Buffy. I am also currently fostering 8 teenagers, only sure of 2 of their breeds. Also fostering 4 Ayam Cemani and have several littles, ranging in age from 2 days up to 2 weeks. All of the fosters are going to my son’s house in Arkansas before the end of month. Plus, the littles that 2 of the Cemani’s have.
I have 4 small dogs, of which 2 are total “serial murderers” of my chickens, so my chickens can no longer free range. I’m married to my best friend and high school sweetheart.

sounds like quite a menagerie, and clearly you've got lots of experience! But have you thought of muzzling your serial chicken murderer dogs?

I would muzzle, but they have not enough nose. The 2 murderers are my Shih Tsu and a Pekatsu, mix between him and my adult female, Pekingese. I seriously went and bought 4 muzzles that were supposed to be good for short snouts. Didn’t work. Since there wasn’t enough snout, they just put their feet up and pulled them down like it wasn’t even there and was wearing muzzle necklaces
