I am new, no I don't have chickens yet, I am in the learning stage, Hope to have a coop set up for a few to start out with. I love the eggs from the red chicken but not sure on name. If any of you great people can help a newbie that would be great.

No chickens yet? Ah that will change.

Red chickens... There are quite a few. For beginners, I think there's nothing better than good ol' Rhode Island Reds. Hardy, inexpensive, generally docile and easy to get at most feed stores.
