My wife and I just bought our first hens.. Two Rhode Island hens and Two Red Producer hens.

The Cluck Sisters as my wife refers to them have settled in. Though have yet to get eggs.. This is second week of keeping hens. We finished having the run set up yesterday. And the four of them were stretching their legs and foraging.

So yeah we have a lot to learn.

Sometimes stress can cause birds to stop laying for a while - sometimes it will cause them to molt, which also stops laying for a while. Hopefully they will feel at home soon and start rewarding you.
