Hi everyone! A friend gave us some chickens they could no longer keep. I have been reading, reading, reading since I don't have any experience with chickens.

I am spending a lot of time making sure we build a good coop, get the right food, etc., so I thought I'd post pics of our ladies on here.....I am hoping that some of you who are knowledgeable about chickens might know what breed they are and can save me time trying to figure out what they are.

All the chickens vary between 3 colors: orangeish (buff?), black & white, and all black.

I'm afraid my photos aren't amazing quality. Sorry.

Thanks in advance from a slightly overwhelmed, but excited new chicken-keeper! :)

Hmmm. Not sure. I will have to look next time I check on them! [QUOT="Frazzemrat1, post: 19623263, member: 477708"]What color is the bottom of the feet of the black one? if they're pinkish then she's an Austrolorp. If they're yellowish, then she's a Black Jersey Giant.

ETA: Otherwise, agree with above[/QUOTE]
