Hi BYC Community! We have frequently read information on this site and decided to join the community to ask questions and possibly help others. We are in our mid 20's raising birds, which none of us have ever done before last year. We currently have 29 birds total:

8 Muscovies
9 Hens
6 Roosters
6 Turkeys

All are for meat and egg production, the 3 female muscovies are laying and the hens are just now 5 months so we are anxiously awaiting our first chicken eggs. We aim for non-GMO feed, raise mealworms, and sprout fodder. We hope to add a black soldier fly bin this summer.

We look forward to being part of the community and sharing info. We love seeing threads with pics so we will try and post many pics in our threads.

We currently have a muscovy sitting on chicken eggs, We will start a thread on Muscovy surrogate mothers because I havent found too much info.

Please do start that thread. I'll be sure to read it. I don't know anything about ducks, does the Muscovy Drake stay with the mom-to be and bring her food/protect her?

I've heard of roosters sitting on eggs while the broody hen is off the nest. But, don't think that is very common.
