Hello from Louisiana. First flock of " Pet Egg Producers" These girls are going to be some spoiled chickens. 2 barred rocks, 2 RIR, and 1 Buff Orpington. I told my daughter she could only get 2 chicks. we left the Feed store with 3, went back to get another, and when i saw the little buff chick I had to have her. Im putting a hard stop on my self @ 6 chickens. Why didn't yall say that there could be a possible addiction to owning these bird's. I can already see that ill be building a bigger coop.

It is addicting. Careful they need space as they grow up. Plus your going to have like 3-4 dozen eggs a week. Read up on laws and regulation for egg sales at your farmers markets. Your going to have some eggs!​

we go through about 1.5 to 2 dozen currently, plus my good neighbor has already made mention " that's gonna be some goods eggs!"
