Hi everyone~

I love my chickens! Never thought I'd like them as much as I do. They are so addictive. I started just over a year ago with 8 hens. One didn't make it so I've had 7 for the last year. One went broody in May so I let her sit on a clutch (?) of eggs and now I have two new chicks! It really feels like a farm and I enjoy that aspect of it very much.

I live in Port Townsend, WA. Up on the Olympic Peninsula where it's very rainy but mostly temperate climate-wise. Very glad to find you all!

Yes, chickens are very addicting and fun to own. We had kept them when I was growing up, all for meat and eggs. I didn't know how personable they could be and if I had known how enjoyable they are too keep for entertainment purposes and for the fun of it, I would have gotten into them decades ago.
