The seller thinks they might of hatched sometime in July. My rooster just started to crow last week and just today I've noticed him doing the mating dance! But the hen isn't ready yet so she'll run from him. Seller don't know which breed they are and said they could be mixed. He originally told me that they're miniature chickens but they've doubled in size since I got them in late Sept. to early Oct. sometime there.

They're not small but not big either. So like Medium?

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Your chickens are mixed breeds. The one in front has the Mille Fleur color pattern but lacks the feathered legs of a Mille Fleur D'Uccle. The greenish tint to its legs is very common with mixed breeds. D'Uccles are bantams but based on your description of their intermediate size they have probably been crossed with a standard size breed. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

I agree with Michael. You can also post photos at "what breed or gender is this," where you will get more opinions. Beautiful birds regardless
