Hiya, and a belated welcome to BYC!!

We live in Calgary Alberta, and started a back yard flock the second it was legal (last summer). Hatched 10 chicks in an incubator, what a riot! We had to re-home most of them as the bylaw only allows 4 hens. New to chickens and looooving it! Managed to handle the canadian winter just fine, with only a bit of anxiety. They spent an extended cold snap (down to -38!) in a dome tent I set up in the garage, now back in the coop and free ranging again on warmer days. Excited to join this community, we are the only ones in our area with backyard chickens.

Welcome. It was great of you to bring them in during the cold snap.
