Hi de hi

welcome-wagon-gif.2041170

Glad you are here!

Thank you, the whole family seem to tell a daily soap/ drama of their antics! Particularly when they appear outside someone’s window, they can walk all the way round the bungalow. (Some days I’m sure they do the same with us)

It’s surprised me, at the start, how individual they are- which is daft really.
They are amazing little creatures 😍
And so entertaining 😆

So I didn’t want to start a new thread (again) but just an update. Olive is a green layer- but not actually olive coloured. Lighting isn’t fabulous (it’s early here) but it’s more green than blue.
Hoping size will get a bit bigger too, it’s 50g currently, and she’s a big chicken so I’d hope it’ll get there. IMG_4325.jpeg

When they're new layers, it seems that it takes about two weeks for these silkies to lay proper-sized eggs, sometimes a bit more.

What a beauty! ❤️ As the birds mature, the eggs sizes will increase. Pullets are still growing yet.
