Hi all,
I've used this site for information and help for years, but have just signed on as a member. I'm chippysmom, or Chippy's Mom, or Susan. My husband is Skip.
We have pet chickens, Bantams, Wheaten Bantams, and RIRs. We eat their eggs but can't bring ourselves to eat our birds.
Most of them know their names, we were surprised at how smart they are.
We've had chickens for about 4 years, and while my husband thinks they tie us to the house too much, we really enjoy them.
My avatar is a photo of our Sultan girl Lyle who is no longer with us. We had two Sultans and they were both very odd chickens personality-wise, but I just loved them, I guess I am odd too! I'd like to get some more but they aren't that common, I guess.
Nice to meet you all! I'm having problems with one of our RRR so I'll be posting a photo in the help section.
