Hi Everyone,

I'm new to BackYard Chickens and wanted to say hello. I currently have 21 young laying hens, a very nice variety, and 2 roosters. My chickens seem very happy, they follow me all over the place (granted I give them treats) and are laying eggs like crazy. I actually never thought that I would like chickens so much, they have turned out to be a lot of fun.

Anyway hello everyone. :)

Yes, chickens sure are enjoyable to keep. If someone had told me I would get so addicted to keeping chickens many years ago, I would have told them they were crazy! Ha!

I think a lot of people are surprised how addictive having chickens can be, they are very interesting and fun.

I like the way you described your flock! They sound very fun and friendly! And you must be getting lots of eggs with those 21 hens! Do you have pics of your flock? BYC loves pics and we would love to see any if you have some.
