She might since the barred female lays brown. I can't wait to catch her in the nest box so I know what she lays.

Are your Australorps purebred or crossed?

So the blue can be variable in color? The hen to the right of your pic has darker neck/back feathers. She's gorgeous too!

I have one like that...but I figured she'd be out of the one gray hen. Lol...maybe she isn't.

That is my cockerel. They have dark neck/saddle feathers and blue breast feathers
