Hi chicken lovers! I just started a coop dor first time and so excited. I have a rhode island red, Easter egger,ameracauna, dominique, buff orp, 2 silkies. My Ee and Amerecauna are laying and the RIR was laying when I got her but she had episode of shell lees egg one night and hasn't laid since...been over a month so not sure whats up with her. My do i ique, just 6 mo ths old just laid first egg yesterday and got one today too, although slightly different in color. So thats my flock.waiting on the buff and silkies to produce next couple of months!
 
Hello, :welcome! For the RIR if she layed shell less eggs I would give her oyster grits or I've also heard egg shells works too but she might eat her own eggs if you give her eggshells. And buffs orps are great birds. Good luck with your new adventure!

Yes..we feed them grit...she only had that one egg and hasn't laid any egg since...puzzled why she has stopped completely.
 
Seems I put my real name on profile instead of nick name now can't figure out how to change that! Profile page has no option...any suggestions?
 
You can contact a moderator and ask to change it for you. It's best not to use a full name on any board let alone one that has over 350,000 members around the globe. Impossible to vouch for all of them.
