Hi, this is my first post on here and I really hope someone can help, I have 2 ex battery hens and over the last couple of days one has become very subdued,slow, not eating or drink much and she also keeps putting her head under her belly as if looking for something and then looks at her legs as if she has never seen them before! It’s all very strange. Up until now she had been super healthy they are free range and only get locked up at night! Many thanks for your time x

Welcome to BYC! I would say if its an ex battery hen, she probably has reproductive issues. A soak in warm water with epsoms salts may help.

Maybe she has wry neck - which can be caused by nutritional deficiences or a blow (peck) to the head.
