I justed wanted to say hi to everyone. My wife and I are new to the backyard chickens. We just started a couple months ago from ground up. I built a 12 foot x 36" x 6 ft tall run and attached to it a 3 ft elevated coop. Our chicks are probably 1month old to 3 months old. So far its been a blast watching their personalities develop. We have one barred rock pullet that literally jumps onto us and perches as soon as we come close to the coop. The other breeds we have are a gold laced wyandotte, americana, black star, black australorpe, wellsummer mix and one cuckoo maran. Hopefully this all works out for us. The chickens seem to be very happy and excited when we come to feed them. They grow so fast!
