Welcome to BYC. If you have not done so yet, join the National Birmingham Rollers Club. I think their site is nbrconline.com. Love Birmingham rollers, but the Cooper's hawks put me out of business. Used to raise more than 100 young birds a year, but can no longer justify raising birds to be killed by raptors. Good luck with your flock. Do you plan on competing with them ?

I was planning on joining i have issues with raptors as well. They took 6 of my youngster this past year :/. im going to compete as soon as i get a kit that i think is good enough to compete with

It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...-there-and-cut-more-holes-in-your-coop.47774/) Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it!
