We've been raising Chickens, Ducks, and Geese for a bit over a year now. While my face is new here - many of you aren't new to me. I've spent lots of time here learning and researching troubles and fixes. My 18 year old daughter takes care of all the critters with me. She's been bugging me to just get it over with and join. We have 49 "Big" chickens and 52 babies. We have all sorts of breeds and currently 9 Roos. We have all kinds of Breeds. My daughter got into Bantam chicken this year - last year we bought 4 this year she bought 15. So we have Big, medium, and small sizes of chickens running around. We Currently have 29 ducks of all different breeds. We are adding 2 new duck breeds this year and 13 baby ducks. We have 5 geese and are adding 1 new breed of goose and 3 new geese this year. We are a bit busy around here! We have 2 Australian Shepherds, 4 farm cats, and 2 Donkeys. We want to add goats and a couple of Dexter cows as soon as we can.

Glad you're here !

A must have for your poultry is a FIRST AID KIT for any issues that would arise. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/suggestions-for-a-first-aid-kit.1150128/) and (https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...essential-supplies-and-how-to-use-them.64830/)
It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...-there-and-cut-more-holes-in-your-coop.47774/) Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it!

One last thing, if you're into gardening, feel free to join this years SEED SWAP (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/seed-swap.1220129/)
