Hi! My name is Kristina! I am a new duck mom! I have 3 6-week old Pekin ducks; Beverly, Millie, and Winifred (aka Fred). I can't get over how much I love and worry about them, which my fiance laughs at me about. Oh well, at least I know there are others who feel the same.
We have dealt with several issues already and this forum has offered the most help to me already. Right now poor little Fred is dealing with leg issues, so we are trying everything we can.
Besides the ducks, we have a bulldog, Cooper; and about 20 cows. I get so much enjoyment from watching the ducks. I was amazed how each one has a distinct personality. I love my little ladies and look forward to getting more.

Little Fred has been having leg issues. After lots of investigating I'm sure it is from lack of niacin. All my ladies have gotten niacin supplements from the time I got them. I'm never sure if they are actually getting enough. Fred is the only one having problems. There was a post with a link to Metzer Farms and that said the ducks could have a liquid vitamin B supplement. That is what we are trying now. I'm not sure if the problem is too far gone. I'm still hopeful
