What a nice intro! I love how she just showed up at your house! If I was a chickens and just showed up at someones house..I would want to show up at yours..you sound like a good chicken mom!

It’s in the province called “Drenthe” it’s called Valthermond (you were close)
I’m in “Noord Brabant” which is in the south. Son & Breugel is near Eindhoven (where i was born).

I once worked with a team of guys from Eindhoven, they were a great set of lads.
Yes, fancy me correcting you, I looked it up and it is Valthermond, my friend never sent me a correction though, plus my mail always got there lol.

I’m not sure i’m gonna put this post here, but wanted to follow up(?) my intro with some pictures:
It al started about 4 years ago, when Chickie showed up in our front garden: View attachment 1599808
She sat down on the garbage bin in our backyard that night.
I didn’t know anything about chickens, but because it was so cold, i put a blanket around her..the next day she was still sitting there: View attachment 1599809
I put some hay in our dog’s bench, so she had a little space for herself. She actually layed an egg in it the first day, i’d never seen it before, i even got it on film. View attachment 1599812
After one week, we bought her a (small) coop. She was watching very closely when hb put it together haha: View attachment 1599818View attachment 1599817

Chickie loved to cuddle all day (and so did i)
She became not only very close to us, but also to Bono (our boxer dog, who died last year at the age of 12):
They were always at eachother sides:
