My name is Erica and I a, completely new to chickens. I have a lot of experience with other animals, I have a bunch but none at all for chickens. I very much want to start and I want a balanced and healthy approach to keeping a small amount, maybe 2 as it’s technically an issue here. I don’t feel good about eating factory farmed eggs. All lives are important to me so this seems to be perfect. I do have Multiple Sclerosis and my family would help only rarely so I do need the whole truth.
I am new to forums so excuse my newbie technique

We are glad you joined this flock!
Best wishes and have lots of fun!
Nice to have you here! Having a small flock can be very rewarding
Check out the learning center for some info on how to get started and get some ideas on housing and chicken breeds that would work for your climate, space and situation. I would suggest to start with 3 instead of 2..... Chickens are flock animals and if something happens to one they still have a buddy. You can also look at bantams..... smaller but equally beautiful
