Hi Everyone.

My name is Erica and I a, completely new to chickens. I have a lot of experience with other animals, I have a bunch but none at all for chickens. I very much want to start and I want a balanced and healthy approach to keeping a small amount, maybe 2 as it’s technically an issue here. I don’t feel good about eating factory farmed eggs. All lives are important to me so this seems to be perfect. I do have Multiple Sclerosis and my family would help only rarely so I do need the whole truth.

I am new to forums so excuse my newbie technique
:welcome I am new to BYC and raising chicken's too. I am sure we will have great experiences because everyone is so helpful and friendly here:D

Hello, Erica, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
As others have already mentioned, 3 is a much better number for a small starter flock than 2. If anything happens to one of them, the others with still have each other. Good luck.
