Hi from Tasmania everyone.
I have around 40 hens and 3 roosters. I have been incubating and raising chickens for around 5 years now. I have 2 really old hens, super friendly and loveable. Pixie is almost 20 years old and Doris who is almost 18 both were my Mum's and when she moved into the town they came to live with me.

They sound like a couple of sweet old girls

They really are sweeties. Pixie is more grey than black now and I have to lift her and Doris onto the perch of a night when I lock them in. I built them a gently sloping ramp up to the middle of the top perch (their favourite spot) which they use to get down of a morning but they wait each night for me to lift them up which I enjoy doing. I will post a couple of pics of my girls later
