This is my first time raising my own chickens, but I grew up around my grandmas. I got them at the end of March.

I have 14 at the moment, but I have too many cockerels so I will be rehoming 4 (I hope).

4 Rhode Island Red pullets, 2 cream legbar pullets, 2 Ayam cemanis - 1 pullet & 1 cockerel, 2 Langshan - 1 pullet & 1 cockerel, 2 black copper maran - both cockerel, 2 BBS ameracauna - 1 pullet & 1 cockerel.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

It has been such a relaxing hobby for me, and I could watch them for hours! They are so fun!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I like to do projects around the house and the yard.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I live with my husband, our 3 dogs, cat, mule, and chickens. I am a dental assistant.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

I found BYC by researching before I got my chickens months ago. I finally decided to join in case I want to post.
