The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

I heard about your weather, Lisa. Normal for you over there! It's why I live here, right?
Yep. Didn't surprise us much. We usually get a big end of winter storm. Curious how Mary is doing. @1muttsfan

Yes, I noticed Mary has been AWOL for a bit. @1muttsfan check in!
The worst about this weather is the swing is so volatile. It dropped about 40* from the first part of the day until late afternoon and as of this coming Sunday, we're predicted to be in the upper 70's again. I have weather whiplash!

She is North of me and I've had high winds and blowing snow all day today. School was closed again. Yesterday it was raining. Supposed to get down to 13* tonight. I know that it's worse in the UP. I saw on the news that they got about 3 ft of snow. I do hope she's doing ok. It was a year ago that they had the bad ice storm up there.

The most snow we've ever lived in was Utah, 100" the last winter we were there, but it's so dry in the western states, it didn't feel like it did in Ohio with the trifecta of bad--snow, ice and far below zero temps. I'll take Utah weather over Ohio weather any day. Unfortunately, we lived in Ohio far longer than we did Utah. I like the mountain weather here at our about 2000 ft elevation, but weather is weather, you get what you get and you deal with it. The chickens won't get outside today at all. If it dries out, they'll be back at it tomorrow and we'll be back in for a few days of 70's by the end of the week, typical spring roller coaster.

Well the weather in the straits area has been pretty horrible. To me snow totals look like they're around 2 ft, but a lot of it blew around so much that there might be none in some spots and four feet in others. Roads have been closed for days. I expect today they'll get a lot of that cleared out though.
