My name is Allison & I'm 27 years old! I live in South GA & I've been raising a group of chickens since March of 2024. I started off with 15 babies overall (chickens/ducks) and it's been a huge learning curve trying to figure things out with raising different breeds and discovering 2 roosters in what was supposed to be all hens. I lost a few of my chickens along the way, by either health issues due to the batch that came in, or by predators in my area (my chickens/ducks were well over 6 weeks old before I moved them outside to their coop). It has definitely been a huge learning experience. I have 2 grown ducks & one duckling (a pekin, a cayuga, & a baby khaki campbell). I have 8 hens left. A golden comet, an ISA Brown, an Americauna, 3 noir marans, a starlight green egger, and one that for the life of me I cannot remember what she is. I love my chickens, my friends call me the crazy chicken lady. I'd love to get more advice every now & then and share any knowledge I have with anyone.
