I am a newbie! Hopefully getting my chicks tomorrow. We live in the north georgia area. i am so thankful for this site it hs answered many questions already. I have everything set up already, still trying figure out the best place for the heat lamp. We are using a large foldable dog crate that we altered by putting wood on three sides since it will be in the garage.

Place the heat lamp over to one side of the brooder, so there are warm and cooler spots for the chicks to hang out in. Have fun!
