Hi Fellow Chicken Lovers!!

Hello everyone! I’m from the great white north! I currently have 4 hens and 4 baby chicks. (Fingers crossed they’re all girls). I am in my second year of raising chickens.

I have 1 silkie named marg, 1 Americana named Louise, 2 red sexlinks named princess laya and cuddles. The babies consist of 2 lavender Orpington, named; DJ(duck junior) ((friends reference)) and Dixie chick. The other two babies are white polish, names include; Sarah junior (my Grammy really wanted a chicken lol) and buckbeak.

I think my favourite thing about raising chickens is; they are amazing creatures. I honestly didn’t know how intelligent they truly are until I got them. I love how they actually know who I am now and come sprinting whenever they see me! Plus the eggs are FANTASTIC!

Some of my other hobbies are that I coach college hockey. I played competitive hockey for 20 years and competed at the college level. Now I’m just a crazy chicken lady lol

Although I am a crazy chicken lady, I have many other pets. Which includes; 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 chameleon and a bunny!

I discovered this BYC from google, I google a lot about chickens and this was the number one link I used!
