HI! First time back yard flock mama in Tennessee...

Welcome to BYC! Beautiful area you are in! I put a little food coloring on my chicks tail feathers until I can tell them apart. I use green, blue, or yellow. No pink or red..they like to peck those colors.
Awesome idea! Thank you! One of my Amberlinks has begun to hop up and roost on the side of the brooder, and also been more curious, adventurous & friendly since the beginning, so we've been calling her Link. I just might solidify that designation with your suggestion :)
 
When I bred and showed Cocker Spaniels, I used different colors of nail polish (the kind for Poodles) and would just put a small splotch on one foot. You can do the same with Chicken feet. After it's been on awhile, it starts to sluff off by then you can usually tell them apart by other characteristics.
