Hi I'm from Ithaca, Michigan. My children (4 and 8) convinced me we needed to add some chickens to are farm. So we converted a 12 x 12 horse stall into our coop and one of our paddocks into a run and jumped head first in to chickens. We started our flock with a barred rock pullet (Apple), 2 Aracunas pullets (Rapunzel & Buzz) , a mallard duck (Lightning), a Pekin Duck (BullzEye), and 2 Indian Runner Ducks (Ivy & Marley). We've had them a little over 3 weeks when I decided to add 2 Turkeys (Woody & Belle), another Aracuna pullet (Hoot), an Isa Brown pullet (Luna), and 2 buff pullets (Tweety & Splash). We also have ordered a Long Island red rooster to complete are flock. With the arrival of the new bunch I had to build the ducks a different run and stall because even though they love the original chicks, the mallard was ruthless to the the new ones. Next year my daughter wants to show her birds at fair, I'm excited we've always showed horses and I'm thrilled for a new adventure.

Hello, welcome to our flock. It is so exciting to watch my chickens frolick around the yard. I hope that your family enjoys your new additions as much as we do ours.

Yes they do they become as a part of the family as our cat or dog. Tho it's sometimes very hard to tell the little buff pullets apart, lol.
