Hi from a newbie

My name is Ann and I live in Maine, my husband had chickens many years ago, but I have never. We are getting 5 laying hens and about 10 chicks(Barred Plymouth Rock) I am excited but very nervous. I want to do everything right. My hubby said that I will probably have names for them all, and the will be spoiled since I am a huge animal lover. So I want to make sure I do everything right. i have some barred rock adolesonts they are verry nice i once had a barred rock rooster named buddy He was the best cuz he never attacked anyone i gave him away i was sooooooo stupid but if u ever get a barred rock rooster dont give him away they are not an agressive breed
