Update!

There seems to be some confusion about rule #12, so I've reworded it. It now says "All pictures MUST be uploaded to BYC".

Rule number 12 used to say "All pictures MUST be uploaded to BYC and not hosted on other image sites, personal websites, etc." That did not mean that you could not enter a picture that was posted on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc., it just meant that we want you to do one of these:

This rule is in place because some people post their pictures on Facebook or use photo storage sites like Google and Photobucket, and in the past, we've seen photos disappear. Like this one from the 2013 Calendar Contest:

That link leads to a Facebook photo server that is no longer active, so we cannot view the image.

That was inserted by using this:

I have a question when I click the link to view the photo, it doesn’t allow me to close it to go back to the post or BYC anywhere I have to completely close the app or page and relog in…

the app NEVER worked for me.
i just leave a tab open in my browser for it and it’s never given me trouble or logged me out.
