Just finish off my 1st cup of coffee.

@DobieLover What your oats and chia seeds tiramisu taste like? I am trying to imagine it.

Minty hen with the lash egg is now back doing it again. So back on antibiotic. I remember before any of my chicken passed away due to ill health, they all poop the same small dark green poop with yellow cap. Minty is doing the same, but she is responding to the antibiotic so started to poop normal yesterday, but back to that near the end poop again this morning.

For just once, can I have a chicken that die of old age instead of ill health? Just 1, surely that is not too much to ask.

I agree! All of the chickens I have lost were from one health issue or another! That is what we all hope for that they live a long healthy life! I hope you had a great day!

There is snow that is supposed to flake down upon us again, looks like a couple of inches predicted for Thurs. Fingers crossed that it is just that.
I have a ton of old chickens.
They live way past the productive egg laying stage and then I feel bad for thinking that I should just make soup...
So, they hang out and eat feed and today, I am putting the old ladies' sunroom together so the wind can just be white noise in the background of their afternoon naps.

Hubby is coming home tomorrow, probably late afternoon. So I have about 30 hours to get all the stuff done that I was "going to do while he's gone."

I have done most of it, really!

You have hen aged care home there, sunroom for the elderly hens.

I wish I can see my hens get to that age and I can do up a nice hen aged care for them

They lay eggs and then died from it, not have the chance to live to enjoy their egg free life, they have done the hard yard, they should enjoy their retirement.

I will pray on this.

Good Morning,

2nd cup of coffee now being 7:20am Wednesday. I was in the garden tending to my morning chicken task since 5am, and that I was late. The usual time is around 4:30am

I sat there with my 1st coffee watching my feather kids and they make me laugh for being themselves. 1 hen ran like crazy to the nest box while making noises, I am thinking she is saying...it is coming out...it is coming out I must hurried.

I mowed the lawn yesterday again, it is now like a nice green carpet. A few days of rain fixed my bared patches garden.

Christmas season is here, oh I love the shops having Xmas songs on. I love it
