I joined 12 years ago & was active but then took a long break from the site but still had chickens & ducks. Figured since it had been so long I would reintroduce myself.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We first got chickens in 2009. 26 Rhode Island Reds & 5 Mallard ducks.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 17

(3) What breeds do you have? Silver Laced Wyandottes, Single Comb Brown Leghorns, Rhode Island Reds, White Orpingtons & one mystery chick.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Fresh eggs and I just enjoy spending time with them.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Bunnies, gardening, decorating

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My family includes Alan, Taylor, Dan, Hunter & Kase. We are soon to be empty nesters but our grandson & his mom & dad live on our farm to ease the transition. I clean houses part time & baby sit the rest.We have 3 cats, 1 turtle, 2 bunnies & an awesome Australian Cattle Dog.
