Hi, Everyone.
On June 27th, we became the proud parents of six little Buff Orphington chicks. We call them the Fiske Chicks. My husband grew up with chickens, however I am a newbie in the world of chickens. I never thought I would ever raise chickens, but I now can't imagine my life without them. All advice is appreciated and I love reading everyone's post. We are still trying to figure out all the chicks personalities so we can give them names. My little beauty is Grace, and she is extremely friendly. As soon as I take the cover off the brooder, she wants to jump up on my arm. She is so sweet and never pecks. It is incredible how quickly they grow, and I love watching them try to establish lead hen (still hoping they are all ladies).
Thanks.
M
