Hi from Atlanta

Welcome to BYC...

I have one you can have, just drive the 1000 miles up here and he is yours!!

Chickens are addicting... For me, ducks not so much, but the duck people luv them! Let us know what you get?

(note: it is assumed you will get some, the breed and number is the only thing in question)

What are you hatching there Mr. Ralphie? Obviously a chicken but what breed?

That is a little Creamette Boy...

Creamettes are known as Cream Legbars to those not enlightened to their real name. He is about an hour old now.

Thanks for explaining the "Creamette". CL's look like such wonderful birds, they are one (of many) breed on my 'wish list'. Good luck with your hatch!

Hi from Decatur, GA, near Atlanta. I'm new here, looking into getting some chickens or ducks, as egg-laying pets.

Welcome from Middle Georgia, I'm in south Monroe County - a short distance, but "long slow" drive to Atlanta

Raising your own flock is one of the most eggciting adventures and I am certain you will enjoy it. They are much more interesting and entertaining than the "usual" pets.
And getting your own eggs is a big plus.

Good luck with your plans.

Hello!
400

Welcome to BYC and the coop! There's a lot of great peeps here! Feel free to ask lots of questions. But most of all, make yourself at home. I'm so glad you decided to joined the BYC family. I look forward to seeing you around BYC. Beware of the chicken math!

Hi! I'm new too and looking to start our flock with some older chicks, if possible. Does anyone have any recommendations of breeders or backyard chicken parents who have or would part with some teenage chickens? :)
Thanks!

Hi Courtlewis, welcome. You'd need to put your location before anyone could put you in touch with anyone. If you do your own introduction thread and put some info about where you are and what your plans are, people can say "hi" and perhaps give you some guidance there.
