Hi from Bucktown, PA! :)

Hi everyone! My name is Laura and I live in PA. I have been keeping chickens for 9 years now, and still have one of my original chicks (a 9 year old Polish hen), who is the best!

We live on a small hobby farm and have a mixed flock (mainly Ameraucanas) and currently have some Bantam Cuckoo Polish eggs cooking. We are planning on adding some dark layers this spring and building a third coop so that we can work on some cool colorful egg projects once we get everyone reorganized!

Other than chickens, I am very into reptiles, horses (currently training our mini to drive), and gardening. Looking forward to chatting and learning on here!

We are adding Welsummers as well! They are my husbands favorite! Figuring with them and maybe a Marans we can add olive eggers to our brood

I was thinking about Olive Eggers as well, but the hatchery I'm getting them from (they have the best prices) doesn't do them! They do have Americana (a cross between Americauna and Araucana) they lay teal to green eggs!

I was thinking if I grow up the Welsummers (ordered a trio) they can go in the new coop along with a few of my Americauna hens. Then I can hatch pure Wellies and Olive Eggers from the same pen!
